The Position

The Sales Manager will lead, motivate and develop the sales team to ensure that revenue and gross margin budgets are achieved. Working within the SME sector with more than 2500 accounts, your team is focused on providing proactive, solution focused account management and the acquisition of profitable new business. This position will report directly to the General Manager Sales Operations.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure that revenue and gross margin budgets are achieved through the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of profitable new business
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to ensure continuous improvement in staff performance and support succession planning processes
  • Ensure the highest possible level of customer satisfaction during every interaction with the sales team
  • Drive strong accountability for adherence to all sales and activity KPIs
  • Ensure full compliance with use of the company CRM system
  • Implement processes which support S&OP and supply chain optimization
  • Tightly control all operating costs to ensure compliance with expenditure budgets
  • Ensure compliance with all SH&E requirements and proactively promote a safe working environment

 

Experience

  • Experience in leading and developing large sales teams
  • Proven track record in tailored solution selling
  • Experience in account management from within the chemical or industrial services or manufacturing services industries is essential
  • A tertiary qualification coupled with strong financial acumen will be advantageous
